Dr. Tolulope Bella – Awusah is a Senior lecturer at the Department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, and Honorary Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to the University College Hospital Ibadan, Nigeria. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Ibadan and fellowship in Psychiatry from the West African College of Physicians. She also obtained a Master of Science in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (MSc. CAMH) with distinction from the Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, University of Ibadan Nigeria in 2014.
She is the recipient of the World Psychiatry Association’s Mood Disorders Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, United States. She is passionate about improving the mental health of women, infants, children and adolescents and works as a leader of multidisciplinary teams of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) professionals in the sectors of health, education and juvenile justice to develop services and interventions, as well as to promote and advocate for CAMH in sub- Saharan Africa. She has been involved in a number of International collaborative projects with this focus, and has several publications in peer reviewed journals.
Dr Tolulope Bella – Awusah holds a number of International positions including Vice President of the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied professions (IACAPAP), and President of the African Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (AACAMH). She is currently the Acting Director of the Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CCAMH), University of Ibadan, and Head, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, University College Hospital Ibadan.
