Paapa Yaw Asante is a lecturer at the University of Health and Allied Sciences in the Volta Region. He is with the Mental Health Unit at the department of Family and Community Health in the School of Public Health. He holds a PhD in Psychology and a Master of Philosophy degree in Social Psychology from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Paapa Yaw is a men’s health researcher, focusing on masculinities and Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, stroke, diabetes, prostate cancer and mental, sexual and reproductive health of adolescent boys.
Paapa Yaw Asante is the Post-doctoral research fellow with the Ghana team at the Dodowa Health Research Centre on the IDRC funded project on ‘Gender Transformative and Responsive Health Systems in Ghana, Burkina Faso and Niger.
